Marinepool<\/a> is one of the long standing\u00a0supporters of famous French sailor Kito de\u00a0Pavant who will wear the German\u00a0company’s technical clothing during\u00a0the\u00a0Transat Jacques Vabre.<\/p>\n

Over 30 crews are contesting\u00a0this\u00a0biennial, two-handed race that has became\u00a0one of the biggest offshore yacht races.<\/p>\n

On\u00a0board an IMOCA Open 60<\/a> Monohull the Marinepool clothed sailors\u00a0will launch their assault on an express\u00a0transatlantic race towards Puerto Limon in\u00a0Costa Rica.<\/p>\n

True to its sporting, human and ecofriendly\u00a0values, the Transat Jacques Vabre\u00a0is celebrating its 10th anniversary.\u00a0When it began in 1993, it was a solo\u00a0yacht race that headed for\u00a0Columbia, following the historical route of \u00a0the coffee trade.<\/p>\n

Kito de Pavant, well-versed in sailing on\u00a0board a monohull, distinguished himself as\u00a0a winner of the Solitaire du Figaro 2002 and\u00a0was close to winning the last Transat\u00a0Jacques Vabre on board Groupe Bel with a\u00a0second place.<\/p>\n

The German clothing producer\u00a0Marinepool is pleased to take part in this\u00a0transatlantic adventure and renew its\u00a0support to the Groupe Bel sailing project.<\/p>\n

Partners since 2010 with a view towards the\u00a0upcoming Vend\u00e9e Globe<\/a>, Marinepool and\u00a0Kito de Pavant have combined their\u00a0expertise and knowledge to develop a\u00a0range of technical clothing resulting in the\u00a0Pacific Ocean line, setting new standards\u00a0for offshore racing suits.<\/p>\n

The light weight and waterproof\u00a0clothing<\/a>, comfortable over a broad range of\u00a0conditions, has been tested to the extreme\u00a0in the Barcelona World Race and endless\u00a0training sessions. It undoubtedly plays a\u00a0key role in the performance of Kito and his\u00a0partner in the Transat Jacques Vabre.
